Reflective Journal on 1st Session (presentation)      (3th July, 2015)

Topic: (Discussion about whole work plan, Introduction to the module, mode of assessment/course work  etc.)
We had first IT session on 3th July, 2015 in 2nd Period and it was well conducted by tutor Mr. Chenga Tshering. The session began with introduction of module, RS work plan and briefing on assignments and mode of assessment criteria in detail.

Mr. Chenga Tshering begins with slide and ask question like “what you want to learn from IT class?”
 We the 38 participants wrote about our own ways  of learning IT  and later we take turn to share with the whole class.

Sir explained about digital native student Vs digital immigrant teaching using video clip. After that he even gave us task to read at home i.e. “A new culture o f teaching for 21st century.”



Reflective Journal on 2nd Session (presentation)             (6th July, 2015)
Topic (What does it mean to teach in the 21st century, What are the 21st century skills? ICT for education, ICT tools)
On 6th July, 2015 Mr. Chenga Tshering came to our class in 2nd Period and ask about what does it mean to teach in the 21st Century? We all thought and share our views to sir. Sir asked second question like What are the 21st Century skills? We all share our answers to the sir. We also discuss about ICT for education. Sir explained  following ICT tools in detail. When and where to use it?.
1. Information tools
2. Communication tools.
3. Construction tools.
4. Co-construction tools.
5. Situating tools


Reflective Journal 3rd  Sessions (presentation)   (7th July, 2015)
Topic (Unit I- Information tools, Introduction to information tools, web research, using goggle scholar for our research, Boolen operator, search smarter and search faster)
On 7th July, 2015 in second period Mr. Chenga Tshering show tutorial sits to teach web research, using goggle scholar for a research, boolen operator, search smart and search faster.

Reflective Journal on 4th   Session (presentation)             (8th July, 2015)
Topic (Unit IV-Co-constructive tools, Google drive, Google docs, Google forms)
On 8th July, 2015 in second period Mr. Tandin Penjor took over the lesson and he showed video clip and explain on how to use Google drive, Google docs and Google forms. Here I learn so many thing about saving important document, file, movie etc in Google drive. We also did some practical work on each Google drive, Google docs and Google form. We also did our first assignment on Google drive. 

Reflective Journal on 5th Session (presentation)             (9th July, 2015)
Topic (Exercise on Google drive, Google docs and Google form, Blog and Blogging and wiki)
On 9th July, 2015 in second period Mr. Chenga Tshering came and he showed video clip and explain on how to use Google drive, Google docs and Google forms for the minor assignment. After his presentation he give minor assignment I, It is out of 10 marks. Topic: Use Google form to conduct survey on any field.
He also taught how to use Blog. First of all we all create blog account and then learned how to use blog. We also learn how to invite our friends and share our article to our friends. He also told us to create account for Wiki too. It is also same as blog. Where we can share our article to our friends and it can be edited and give comment etc.


 Reflective Journal on 6th Session (presentation)             (10th July, 2015)
Topic (Evaluation of the assignment 1and 2, Discussin for post RS work plan, Assignment Topics)
We had our last class on 10th July, 2015 in the 2nd Period our tutor Mr. Chenga Tshering came and discuss about evaluation of the assignment 1 and 2. He divides the whole class into 9 groups of 4 members each. We took almost 1hour to discuss about RS work plan. At last he gave the following Assignment topic,
1.      Minor Assignment Topic: search Ten useful educational websites related to your area of studies and discuss how each one of these will help you to improve your quality of teaching and learning.
2.      Online Activity Topic: Use blog to maintain reflective journal in learning this module.
3.      Project I Topic: Create interactive Flash-based quiz using wonder share quizCreator.In your quiz there should be 20 different questions having minimum of two questions each from 9 different question types. You have to add animated images, Flash movie and sound effects to polish and enhance your quiz with comprehensive properties.
4.      Project II Topic: Using Camtesia studio 6. Record and produce your own video Tutorial of 15 minutes time on any particular lesson/Topic. You need to edit and add some of the effects to your video tutorial.


Finally, I would like to thank our module tutors: Mr. Chenga Dorji and Mr. Tandin Penjor for their great support and guidance in taking us through this IT EDN-418 module. I would also like to thank the entire group for your great support and response during activity la. I will continue looking forward to their unwavering kind support and guidance in the ICT EDN 418 module for successful completion.

Regarding MS word Activity.                                         Date: 3-09-15


When our Tutorial Mr. Changa Tshering up loaded the MS word Assignment question in the VLE, first of all I thought it is given for practice only. I still have doubt because sir had mention about the marks. Then I made a personal call to sir and then our sir is so kind to clarify my doubt. After that I took it seriously to do each and every activity in detail. Whenever I face problem I try to get help from my IT teacher. He is very helpful and supportive. I did all the activity by myself and later I compiled it in one folder and send through VLE.
This activity help me a lot especially on how to paragraph, drawing and data base like mail merge etc. I would like to thank our tutor for giving such great topic for us to practice and earn mark la.

Wiki Address
 I face tough time to create wiki address. I ask help form my friend in VLE forum discussion but there was no support. I even try to get help from my  IT teacher but he also have no idea .Later I went to Paro NIE, to get help from IT lecture. He told me to go to Google.bt.com and then type URL-http://sites.google.com/sites/ then he told me to create wiki address. This is how I have created wiki address and later it was very useful to me because all our group work are discuss in this wiki. So for that I on behalf of group would like to thank our tutor Mr. Changa Tshering for giving all this new topic la. We all enjoy doing it la.

Regarding the project Work 1 and 2.                                     Date: 20-09-15

  Project I Topic: Create interactive Flash-based quiz using wonder share quiz Creator. In your quiz there should be 20 different questions having minimum of two questions each from 9 different question types. You have to add animated images, Flash movie and sound effects to polish and enhance your quiz with comprehensive properties.

In order to carry out the above given task first of all we the group members decided to download the soft ware called "Wonder share quiz Creator" in our own laptop and then I look into the 9 different question style. I took almost 1 hour to study about it and got help from one of my IT friend on how to go ahead. 
After that I started to prepare my quiz question with these 9 different question type and then I shared with my group member in wiki and my group member also did the same thing. We all discuss about our own quiz among our group friends and decide which one to send for the final draft. After selecting for the best topic then we compiled it and make the final version. The topic that we had chosen was “General Knowledge of Bhutan”.

      Project II Topic: Using Camtesia studio 6. Record and produce your own video Tutorial of 15 minutes time on any particular lesson/Topic. You need to edit and add some of the effects to your video tutorial.
In the second project II, we decide to do the tutorial lesson on the topic about the Nature and there are four sub parts and our group member decides to take each part. We are almost ready to send but one of my group members Madam did not agree about it. She mention that this lesson is not exactly tutorial lesson, it is exactly like power point presenting and again we decided to go for another topic this time we have chosen  for mathematic topic Tessellation and now we have almost done with it. After compiling the tutorial lesson and then we published it and then on 9th October at around 8.30PM we jointly sent it through VLE.

By doing these two projects work, we learn a lot and worried a lot too. Thinking that it won’t be possible. But everything went well due to hard work shoulder by different group members. Once again I on behalf of group member and my own behalf would like to thank our tutorial Mr. Changa Tshering for giving such a wonderful topic la. We really learn a lot la.
